
The auction for 14 luxury vehicles came from the Presidents Office, 6 decommissioned automobiles and numerous spare parts was hung on Friday (Feb 28), according to the Presidents Media Division (PMD).
This choice was made with the goal of reducing government expenditure and promoting financial accountability, Accordingly, 15 cars were auctioned yesterday, consisting of 9 Defender Jeeps, one Volvo Jeep, a Chrysler vehicle, a Mahindra Bolero, a Rosa bus, a Land Rover Discovery, and a Toyota car.The auction for the remaining cars is set up to take place soon, according to the PMD.These vehicles were not those assigned to the permanent staff of the Presidential Secretariat but were instead used by consultants and personnel designated under Article 41( 1) of the Constitution by the previous President throughout his period, the PMD said.There was substantial need for the purchase of these lorries.
Bidding submissions were accepted up until 12:00 noon the other day, and the opening of quotes continued till 8:00 p.m., it added.Approximately 199 organization personnel participated in the event, the statement stated.-- PMD
